How Biometronyx Ltd collects, uses and protects personal data submitted through this website.
Last updated 30 July 2026
Who we are
Biometronyx Ltd is a biotechnology company based in Enugu, Nigeria, developing clinical chemistry reagents for laboratory use. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website.
If you have any question about this notice, or about how we handle your information, write to us at info@biometronyx.com and mark your message for the attention of our data protection contact.
What this notice covers
This notice covers www.biometronyx.com only. It does not cover any separate commercial relationship, supply agreement or clinical study you may enter into with us. Each of those is governed by its own terms and, where relevant, its own consent and ethics documentation.
What we collect
This is a static informational website. The only personal data we actively collect is what you choose to type into our contact form:
- Your name
- Your organisation, if you give it
- Your email address
- The category of enquiry you select
- The content of your message
We do not ask for, and we ask that you do not send us, patient information, clinical results or any other health data through this form.
Our hosting provider also processes standard technical information such as IP address and request logs, as a normal part of serving the site securely and protecting it from abuse. We do not use that information to identify you or to build a profile of you.
Why we use it, and on what basis
We use the details you submit for one purpose: to read your enquiry, reply to you, and keep a reasonable record of the correspondence. We rely on your consent, given by choosing to submit the form, and on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries addressed to us.
We do not use your details for marketing. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not disclose it to third parties for their own purposes.
Who processes it on our behalf
Contact form submissions are delivered to our inbox by FormSubmit, a third-party form-forwarding service. Your submission passes through their systems in order to reach us, and is then handled in our email account. Our website hosting provider and our email provider likewise process data on our behalf.
Each of these providers acts on our instructions and is permitted to use the data only to deliver the service we have engaged them for. Some of them operate outside Nigeria, which means your submission may be transmitted to and stored in another country. Where that happens we rely on the contractual protections in the provider's terms of service to keep the data safe in transit and at rest.
Cookies, analytics and tracking
This website sets no cookies. We run no analytics, advertising or session-tracking scripts, and there is no tracking pixel on any page. Nothing about your visit is recorded beyond the server logs described above.
Web fonts are compiled into the site and served from our own domain when it is built, so loading a page does not call out to a font provider or reveal your visit to one.
If we later add analytics or any cookie-based feature, we will update this notice and, where the law requires consent, ask for it before setting anything.
Links to other sites
Our pages link to organisations we work with, including Future African Scientist. Following an external link takes you outside our control, and the receiving site's own privacy practices will apply to you from that point. We are not responsible for the content or the data handling of third-party sites.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for up to 24 months from our last contact with you, after which it is deleted. We keep it for longer only where a specific reason requires us to — for example, where the correspondence forms part of a contract, a regulatory submission or a validation record, or where we are obliged to retain it by law. In those cases we keep only what that purpose requires, and no longer than the purpose lasts.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, and under other data protection law where it applies to you, you may ask us to:
- Confirm what personal data of yours we hold, and give you a copy of it
- Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Delete data where we no longer have grounds to keep it
- Restrict or stop our use of it
- Withdraw a consent you previously gave, at any time
Email info@biometronyx.com to make a request. We will not charge you for it, and we will respond within the time the law allows. If you are dissatisfied with how we respond, you may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the data we hold, including limiting access to the enquiry inbox to the people who need it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send confidential or sensitive information through the contact form.
Children
This site is aimed at laboratory, clinical, commercial and research professionals. It is not directed at children, we do not knowingly collect data from them, and we will delete any such data if we discover we have received it.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as our operations or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised, and the version published here is the one that applies.
